Friday last week saw me working up near Mansfield with a client that was having problems with preparing a contract. I had done some work for him here at home and it was just a case of delivering my work to him and taking him through what had been done and how to putting it all together in one document – a straight forward bit of work. Up there for 8.30 and then finish by 1pm and on my way home.
However I took the opportunity to divert into a place in Sutton-in-Ashfield and pick up some stockings for Madam.
We had come across this company purely by chance in 2013 when one of the local lingerie shops that we use for stockings stopped keeping them in stock and in particular we wanted some Fully Fashioned stockings.
we came across the company “Silky Sensations” on the web and they could supply a whole range of tights and stockings and in particular Fully Fashioned and Re-enforced Heel and Toe (RHT) stockings. The prices were very good and we thought that we would take a chance and ordered some. As I was working on a job in Sheffield that week I collected the order.
we were initially worried about the price being low so the quality would reflect that, but it wasn’t the case. the quality was fantastic and both Madam and I were really pleased with them particularly the FF Stockings for Madam and the RHT for me.
one of the problems that we had was that we lost the email and the website details so when we wanted to get some replacements we couldn’t find out who we go them from, we knew that the company was near Mansfield, and to be honest that diverted us from the real location.
eventually last week Madam found the company again and we made contact with them. Still trading and still working from the same premises in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

I gave them a call and had a chat with the owner, Frank, I explained that we had looked at the website which was quite bare of information and also had a look at the ebay shop. there was some good items there but I gave a call to make sure that he had the FF stockings That Madam was after.
I had a good chat with Frank the owner, basically the company’s main business is dyeing the stockings and tights for all of the main manufacturers and he purchases some of the stock for selling on – either branded or un branded.
The FF stockings and the RHT stockings are excellent, they are un branded but really fine and Madam is really impressed by them, with a price under £10 each (Frank will do a price for you based on how many you purchase) they are excellent, the only difference to purchasing a branded pair such as GIO is that they have not been steam ironed flat but that doesn’t really matter once you put them on.
I picked up 4 pairs of Charnos Elegance Plain Top stockings for £3.50 per pack and they are brilliant.
The so what from this is, if you are looking for good quality stockings or tights then don’t over look this company – Silky Sensations, also give Frank a call and discuss what you want as he has a lot of stock that isn’t on the ebay page or if you are looking for something special or different he can either get it or has it in stock and from our couple of orders with him he does a very good price.
